To keep the exciting news going, here’s the continuation of our previous post about new car releases for this year!
16. JEEP
RENEGADE: Now that SUV sales are going
well, Chrysler sales execs are probably regretting that they decided to put the
Subcompact Fiat-based SUV on the road early next year rather than today. This
classic jeep look-a-like with a vertical grille and round headlamps will have
16 engine and transmission configurations, mileage that will exceed 30 mpg on
the highway, plus the first nine-speed
transmission in its class. Expect it to start around $24,000.
17. KIA
K900: Following the footsteps of
its sister, Hyundai Equus, K900 is giving us luxury features in a lot lesser
cost than its German or Japanese counterparts. Besides that, here’s a catch,
we’re also getting two engine choices: a 3.8-liter V6 with 311 horsepower or a
5-liter V8 — Kia's first ever V8 — with 420 horsepower which are paired to an
eight-speed transmission. Along with its additional perks like a reclining rear
seats that are heated and cooled. All of those for the starting price of
$60,400 including destination.
SEDONA: For the Kia’s new minivan, you
might have to expect it to cost you around $25,900 since it’s where the 2014
model started, though the pricing for the 2015 model hasn’t been announced. This
price goes with more leg room in all three rows than the outgoing model and
optional leg rests in the second row, Geo-fencing, stiffer structure for better
handling, and the new 3.3-liter V6 with 276 horsepower.
SOUL EV: Since the pricing for this
model hasn’t been announced, we could all focus on its amazing features first. A
range of 80 to 100 miles on a single charge, two charging
ports, one for regular charging and one for fast charging, and KIA dealers
offers the charging fee for FREE! Plus this all-electric version of Kia’s funky
soul is expected to go on sale this fall.
18. LAMBORGHINI
HURACAN LP610-4: Gallardo model line was the
car in your dreams before, but not anymore, now that HURACAN LP610-4 is here!
Here’s the reason why: 5.2-liter V-10 engine with 610 horsepower, Seven-speed
dual clutch transmission, Four-wheel drive, Goes zero to 60 in motorcycle-quick
3.1 seconds, chassis made of lightweight carbon fiber and aluminum, all LED lights, and beautiful interior. All
of that at the starting price of $237,250.
19. LAND ROVER
DISCOVERY SPORT: If you have $38,920 for starters,
you can now experience this all-wheel-drive, a 2-liter, 240-horsepower turbocharged
engine and a nine-speed automatic transmission Discovery Sport. Not only that
it also has more leg room, allowing seven people and an efficient and safe body
shell built from steel and aluminum.
20. LEXUS
NX 200T/NX 300H: Lexus introduced NX with
either a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine — the first turbocharged
engine in a Lexus — or a hybrid powertrain. Both of them has the signature
spindle grille, with highly sculpted surfaces and angular LED slits for daytime
running lights of Lexus, and they’re also available with all-wheel drive. However, the gas engine gets a 235
horsepower and is mated to a new six-speed transmission, while the hybrid has a
specially tuned 2.5-liter gas engine and a new transmission with a kick-down
function that automatically switches to a lower gear for smoother acceleration.
Moreover, you also get to enjoy a touch pad in the center console, replacing
the joystick other Lexus models are equipped with. There’s a wireless charging
tray too, and a pre-collision system, all intended as a safety feature.
RC 350: You might have to wait until
fall to know how much the RC350 costs, but you’ll know what you’re getting for
that price tag right now! For starters, it’s a two-door coupe, the same
platform with Lexus’s IS and GS sedans, two engine choices, the 3.5-liter V6 with 306 horsepower that's also
in the IS and GS or a
2.5-liter hybrid powertrain. Excited already? The fact that the IS gets 28
miles per gallon, with a 5-Liter V8 expected to produce more than 450
horsepower, will get you even worked up.
There’s
more to go! Just hang in there and we’ll keep you posted in our next post! I’m
sure even car grooming services in Singapore are in tuned for what’s next. Who knows? Maybe one of these cars
will surprise them at their doorstep.
