You really don’t know anymore how far our technology can go. Just recently, the two-seater “neighborhood” electric car with a maximum speed of 40 mph and a mileage of 120 miles has just been released. This is the world’s first 3D-printed car named Strati manufactured by the Local Motors.

As the car continues to be refined, the company is planning to sell it starting from $18, 000 to $30,000 later.

Originally, it takes 45 hours to complete the printing of this car but the CEO of the manufacturer is trying to have it done in just 24 hours and down to below 10. With this, the executives are visualizing more Strati to be produced in the future, most probably 15,000 units per year if the micro factories picks up on this success after a hundred years of progress.

This milestone may even benefit the car grooming services in Singapore, though this isn’t the kind of car that they usually handle, we’re quite sure they’ll come up with something to offer.

As early as now, they may start brainstorming what kind of service an electric engine, thermoplastic, fully recyclable material from BAAM car they can give.

Though it demonstrations some convenience in terms of waste material reduction, the downside could be the amount of energy needed in order to print these kinds of 3D-printed cars.
