Roll In 2015 With A Bang! New Cars Coming Your Way!

New Cars Coming Your Way

To keep the exciting news going, here’s the continuation of our previous post about new car releases for this year!

16. JEEP
RENEGADE: Now that SUV sales are going well, Chrysler sales execs are probably regretting that they decided to put the Subcompact Fiat-based SUV on the road early next year rather than today. This classic jeep look-a-like with a vertical grille and round headlamps will have 16 engine and transmission configurations, mileage that will exceed 30 mpg on the highway, plus the first nine-speed transmission in its class. Expect it to start around $24,000.

17. KIA
K900: Following the footsteps of its sister, Hyundai Equus, K900 is giving us luxury features in a lot lesser cost than its German or Japanese counterparts. Besides that, here’s a catch, we’re also getting two engine choices: a 3.8-liter V6 with 311 horsepower or a 5-liter V8 — Kia's first ever V8 — with 420 horsepower which are paired to an eight-speed transmission. Along with its additional perks like a reclining rear seats that are heated and cooled. All of those for the starting price of $60,400 including destination.

Car grooming

SEDONA: For the Kia’s new minivan, you might have to expect it to cost you around $25,900 since it’s where the 2014 model started, though the pricing for the 2015 model hasn’t been announced. This price goes with more leg room in all three rows than the outgoing model and optional leg rests in the second row, Geo-fencing, stiffer structure for better handling, and the new 3.3-liter V6 with 276 horsepower.

Car grooming

SOUL EV: Since the pricing for this model hasn’t been announced, we could all focus on its amazing features first. A range of 80 to 100 miles on a single charge, two charging ports, one for regular charging and one for fast charging, and KIA dealers offers the charging fee for FREE! Plus this all-electric version of Kia’s funky soul is expected to go on sale this fall.

Car grooming

18. LAMBORGHINI
HURACAN LP610-4: Gallardo model line was the car in your dreams before, but not anymore, now that HURACAN LP610-4 is here! Here’s the reason why: 5.2-liter V-10 engine with 610 horsepower, Seven-speed dual clutch transmission, Four-wheel drive, Goes zero to 60 in motorcycle-quick 3.1 seconds, chassis made of lightweight carbon fiber and aluminum,  all LED lights, and beautiful interior. All of that at the starting price of $237,250.

Car grooming

19. LAND ROVER
DISCOVERY SPORT: If you have $38,920 for starters, you can now experience this all-wheel-drive, a 2-liter, 240-horsepower turbocharged engine and a nine-speed automatic transmission Discovery Sport. Not only that it also has more leg room, allowing seven people and an efficient and safe body shell built from steel and aluminum.

Car grooming

20. LEXUS
NX 200T/NX 300H:  Lexus introduced NX with either a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine — the first turbocharged engine in a Lexus — or a hybrid powertrain. Both of them has the signature spindle grille, with highly sculpted surfaces and angular LED slits for daytime running lights of Lexus, and they’re also available with all-wheel drive.  However, the gas engine gets a 235 horsepower and is mated to a new six-speed transmission, while the hybrid has a specially tuned 2.5-liter gas engine and a new transmission with a kick-down function that automatically switches to a lower gear for smoother acceleration. Moreover, you also get to enjoy a touch pad in the center console, replacing the joystick other Lexus models are equipped with. There’s a wireless charging tray too, and a pre-collision system, all intended as a safety feature.

Car grooming

RC 350: You might have to wait until fall to know how much the RC350 costs, but you’ll know what you’re getting for that price tag right now! For starters, it’s a two-door coupe, the same platform with Lexus’s IS and GS sedans, two engine choices, the 3.5-liter V6 with 306 horsepower that's also in the IS and GS or a 2.5-liter hybrid powertrain. Excited already? The fact that the IS gets 28 miles per gallon, with a 5-Liter V8 expected to produce more than 450 horsepower, will get you even worked up.

Car grooming

There’s more to go! Just hang in there and we’ll keep you posted in our next post! I’m sure even car grooming services in Singapore are in tuned for what’s next. Who knows? Maybe one of these cars will surprise them at their doorstep.

Love Thy Car

Know how to take care of your car

BE PATIENT DURING THE BREAK-IN PERIOD

1) During the break-in period, typically the first 1,500 kms, keep your speed under 90 km/hr or to the speed recommended by your cars manufacturer.

2) Avoid heavy loads on the drive train, such as towing other vehicles, and loading the roof rack or trunk with heavy materials.

3) Do not allow your new car to idle for long periods - this is good advice for the life of your car, but especially during breakin. The oil pressure generated by doing so may not be sending oil to every part of your engine.

4) Use only light to medium acceleration, keep the engine rpms below 3,000 for the first few hours of driving.

Things That Attract Car Thieves Most

Maybe you have heard of car theft and it is surprising for us to find out that it has decreased as compared to incidents happened in the last 15 years. This is due to anti-theft systems and marked car parts that have made it nearly impossible to steal cars and earn money from their pieces. But, if your car looks sophisticated after it had undergone a professional car polishing in Singapore, it is likely to be stolen, that’s why doing some precautions is truly important.

The more the sophisticated your car is, the more it is prone to car theft. However, there are prevention steps that you can follow to keep you and your car from being a victim of casual thieves. Car owners tend to forget taking the most basic precautions such as locking up; do not leaving it running, and do not leaving the keys inside the car.

Moreover, it is imperative to be smarter than the thieves. Here are the four things that persuade them from stealing your car:

Latest Car Models
Best Selling cars such as Toyota Camry, Honda Accord, Chevrolet Impala, and Ford F-150 are just among of the excellent choices for car thieves. There are exotic cars which possess higher theft rates because of car parts black market, the no difficulty of breaking them into pieces, and the secrecy of driving off alone from the crime scene.

Cars Parked in a Dark Area
Cars that are park and left in dark, isolated, or concealed areas are also prone to an aspiring car thief. Make sure that your car is parked in a safe, bright area. As much as possible, try to park it in areas where there are many people.

Cars That Show Signs of Abandon
Cars that show signs of neglect are also likely to be stolen. Signs can be a pile of parking tickets or dust indicating that the vehicle was left by the owner for a long time.

Cars with No Activated Alarm System
Cars with no activated alarm system are also attractive for car thieves. Most luxury cars have basic anti-theft systems and this can be easy for a burglar to take your car away.

Polished, Classy Aura

Cars that look expensive and sophisticated magnetize a bandit’s eyes, most especially if your car has just undergone exceptional car polishing in Singapore.

WHY OWNING A SUPERCAR WON’T MAKE YOU BROKE

Whose jaws didn’t drop when a supercar passes them by? Who have never, at least once, dreamt of one day owning and driving a supercar? But what’s stopping us from actually having one? The price tag, of course! Not to mention all the other expenses that comes with it. But you might want to think before letting go of that lifelong dream of owning a supercar because it’s not as expensive as you think it is.

Do It Yourself

Take your high-end car to an equally high-end car shop or any car shop for that matter, have them do all the work for your car and be prepared to be broke at the end of the day. Like it or not, aside from they are a business who simply want profits, they won’t treat your car like a fragile baby. They’ll do everything that needs to be done in your car like how they do in other cars, supercar or not. So if you want to ensure a royal treatment on your car without hurting your pocket, then learn to fix your own ride. Car services like cargrooming is so simple that you’ll just have to be willing to learn it.

They Are Quite Sturdy Provided That They’re Well Taken Care Of

At the thought of a Lamborghini or a Bugatti’s engine going haywire is cringe-worthy. Why? Because this means your wallet will have to bleed to death. But, before you go all worked up with the idea, stop. They weren’t called supercars for nothing. Their engine are actually tough especially if you’re the kind of owner who knows how to take care of his car. Therefore, you don’t have to worry every waking moment about being ripped off because your car screwed up.

It Becomes More Of An Investment If You Know When To Buy And Sell It

Whether you’re buying it for investment or simply because you wanted it so bad you’re whole life, it won’t be such an expenditure if you buy smart. This means, don’t just rush to the nearest dealer and write a check once you can afford it. Research and figure out if it’s a good time to make a purchase based on the current economy. Also, when the time comes you decide to sell it, time it when the resale value is actually worth it.

If You’re Open To Aftermarket, Your Pocket Will Thank You

Granted that high-end cars have pricey parts. But you wouldn’t have to spend so much on parts all the time if parts from aftermarket are fine with you. As long as the parts are in good condition, it shouldn’t matter whether they’re brand new or not.

Lavish Maintenance Isn’t Maintenance

The reason why owning a supercar seems so much like a luxury is because owners feel like they have to avail all the suggested maintenance for supercars. Actually, all you need are the required ones. Those that keep the car in a running condition and decent look. You don’t have to change tires every month just because you own a Lambo, even if there’s nothing wrong with its tires. Change when it’s necessary not just because.

Cost Cutting On Car Repairs with These Smart Ways

If you own a vehicle, your chances of dealing with car problems and repair is very much likely. Don’t dread, instead, know what you can do and how you can deal with them with ease and as little money as possible.

Buy A Sound Car To Begin With

If you want to avoid unnecessary expenses as much as possible, make sure that the car that you’re buying is in good condition. Don’t be swayed by how fancy it looks outside, looks can be deceiving. Look into its brands track record and the consumer’s reviews to be sure about this.

Deal With Reputable Mechanic Only

I hate to break it to you but business is business. Not every mechanic in the planet really cares. That said, you have to be patient in looking for one that you feel comfortable leaving your car to and proves to be trustworthy. You could ask a relative or friend to refer a mechanic to you that is good and they go to all the time whenever they have a car problem. This will prevent you from shelling out money for unnecessary services that bogus mechanics tricks you into getting just to get more dollars from you.

Have the Initiative to Learn What You Can When It Comes To Car Repair

If you decide to have car, then at least try to learn a few basic car repair so that you wouldn’t have to visit a mechanic all the time, even for minor problems.  Flat tire change, battery/fuse/headlights/brake lights replacement are some that doesn’t actually need an expert to be done.

Find Used Parts

Doing it yourself and using used parts are two surefire way to save car repair expenses. You don’t always need brand new parts anyway, as long as the parts that you found are in good condition then they can work. There’s a lot of people selling their car’s parts online, you just have to look. Or you could try looking at salvage yards for cheap yet good finds.

Apply Preventive Maintenance

You wouldn't have to spend a fortune for your car if you know how to apply preventive car maintenance. To keep your car running smoothly you have to keep your tires properly inflated, follow the manufacturer’s suggested interval for replacing brake pads, maintain the proper alignment of your wheels, use the gasoline indicated in the owner’s manual, immediately repair glass chips and periodically check on your fluid levels. You can also get paint protection in Singapore in order to maintain your paint’s shine.

Research

It pays to learn more about car repairs, especially if you own a car so that you don’t find yourself helpless when a problem occurs. Or when you’re faced with a mechanic who is trying to charge you with services your car don’t need or didn't get from him, you’ll know right away and you can immediately check for it. Even researching about warranty programs for car’s can come in handy, at least you’ll know what you can just needs and if you’re getting your money’s worth.

Classic Car Care Tips

Lucky classic car owners or future owners have more responsibility with owning one than just posting all its glory on Facebook and displaying it for their pleasure and other people to see. Here are some commandments that a classic owner should do.

Drive

When we possess something valuable, we tend to just keep it in a safe place and use it as rarely as possible to preserve it.  However, when it comes to cars, especially classic cars, it’s best to drive it at least once a week to keep it in a running condition and serve its purpose. Cars are meant to be driven not displayed.

Storage

When you’re not taking the vehicle on the road, let it sit on a proper garage. Don’t expose it on extreme hot or cold temperature. Aside from that, ensure that the garage is safe from elements like possible collision and theft. You didn’t spent money on it just to be damaged or stolen from you right? You either use a cover to disguise it from potential car theft or invest on third party garage or storage unit.

Cleanliness

Singapore car grooming are incredibly meticulous with their services. They make sure that your classic car is well preserved by keeping dirt, dust, and other components that eventually deteriorates your car. So, if you’re really busy but still want to make sure that your car is always in good condition, pay them a visit at least once a month.

Insurance

Owning a classic car will cost you quite a fortune from the price tag to the maintenance. Having said that, it is just reasonable to get insurance for it. This will protect you and your car from possible accident that may occur.

General Maintenance

Classic cars, no matter how old they are, are cars nonetheless. Therefore they require the same maintenance that less exotic cars gets.  So if you own one, changing oil , checking tires, replacing brake liquid and other things that a car needs, still have to be done. Again, if you’re too busy for this, you can always take it to car groomers that will do that job for you.

Juke NISMO Renamed As Infiniti ESQ for the Chinese Market

For the Chinese market, Nissan decided to change Juke NISMO into Infiniti ESQ. Infiniti ESQ is set to represent as their premium model later this week at the auto show in Chengdu (China).

If you’re out to get one, prepare your pocket because this model’s price ranges from $32,525 to 48,787 depending on packs according to the announced prices of the carmaker. With a price tag like this, maintaining the paint protection of this novelty would be a good investment to prevent unwanted marks in the long run.

However, you’ll forget how much this novelty costs when you get to enjoy its technical features like 18-inch wheels and the aero enhancement. Not only that, it will also get some interior accents like contrast stitching and Alcantara steering wheel.

Aside from that, and aside from the rebadging which is what’s generating talks about this novelty, it also has an impressive engine. A 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine with a horsepower of 197 and torque of 184 lb-ft is fitted for this car wherein the CVT works with this powertrain. This novelty is also available in all-wheel-drive, though, the front-wheel-drive is a standard.
